Kaya Kwinana, the Director of One Internal Auditor, obtained the following qualifications from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in 2007:
the Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®) qualification, and
accreditation to consult on, assess and validate compliance of internal audit departments with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
The IIA has this to say about the CIA:
"As the only globally recognized internal audit certification, becoming a Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®) is the optimum way to communicate knowledge, skills, and competencies to effectively carry out professional responsibilities for any internal audit, anywhere in the world." - https://www.theiia.org/en/certifications/cia/
Kaya relinquished his IIA membership and qualifications 10 years later in 2017. This was triggered by the confirmation, in the revised 2017 standards, of what Kaya felt was a wrong direction taken in 2015.
